with what I’ve seen so far with iPhone 5 and iOS 6. It’s exactly the incremental upgrades the whole industry expected. A little faster, a little thinner, longer display, bigger battery, and 4G LTE connectivity. I will say the design is typical Apple though. Industrial design with aluminum and glass. Hopefully it’ll help with durability and drops. iPhone 5’s improvements are all good but merely brings Apple’s iPhone up to par with what the competition is offering. 

I think the Samsung Galaxy S III hardware is superior and Google’s Android 4.1 OS feels fresher and more innovative in features.

Finally got my hands on the official Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0.4) update for my Nexus S. It took a while for the Android team to do it, but they really ironed out the bugs and managed to make it run infinitely more smoothly. The battery life seems to be much better too! 

Apple’s app of the year for 2011, Instagram is coming to Android. Instagram is a twitter-like social network that allows people to snap a photo and apply a variety of quirky filters and quickly share it to a social networking sites. Long an iOS exclusive, it’ll soon be coming to Android devices. No solid date yet, but with a sign up page for updates. I wouldn’t imagine at least a beta being far off.
